2019 Syrah Brad's Block
This estate Syrah benefits from decomposed granite and warm sunny days relieved by cool nights which is the ideal growing climate to provide dense, full-flavored, deep colored, complex, structured and riper fruity aroma wines. This estate Syrah is just devine. We refer to this block as “Brad’s Block” for our youngest son as he spent many days by the gazebo and exploring Flat Creek in his youth. As an adult, this is still his favorite part of the property and when he visits, he continues to unearth new treasures by the creek.

Tasting Notes
This wine presents an immense richness, intensity and full-bodied charm with a noteworthy presentation of violets, blackberry, star anise, coffee and dark chocolate just as does the Syrah that comes from the east side of the block. The difference with the west side of the block is that it exhibits more smoked meat characteristics than the east side of the block.

Flat Creek Vinyards is on the Vista del Mirador Winery property in the Fair Play AVA and is located at the base of Mt. Aukum in Somerset, CA. where Flat Creek runs through the vineyard on the way to the Consumnes River.
