This estate Cabernet Sauvignon hails from a south facing block of the vineyard at 2100 ft. where the soil is comprised of decomposed granite with layers of clay and loam producing a beautiful wine. The deep granite soils of this block develop grapes for intense flavorful, fruit forward complex wines. This block is named "Anna Maria" after our Assistant Winemaker as this is her favorite part of the entire property to take daily walks with "Lady", our Mirador winery dog.

Tasting Notes
In this wine, oak tones lead with notes of cedar, anise and chocolate followed by ripe fruits of black cherry, blackberry, black currant and black plum, complemented by herbal fennel and capsicum. Corduroy-like tannins gently coat the mouth and are well matched by the fruit, which is concentrated and balanced by the elevated acidity.

Flat Creek Vinyards is on the Vista del Mirador Winery property in the Fair Play AVA and is located at the base of Mt. Aukum in Somerset, CA. where Flat Creek runs through the vineyard on the way to the Consumnes River.
