A distinctive piney, minty aroma and plenty of ripe blackberry, raspberry and wild-sage flavors give this full-bodied wine lots to appreciate. A nip of tannin and good, balanced acidity make it a pleasure to keep sipping.
This red blend is rich, ripe and bold. Dark cherry, with a bright snap of acidity, this wine then dives onto the palate where molasses and cinnamon linger into the finish. 63% Zinfandel, 18% Barbera, 11% Petite Sirah, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Syrah
This Syrah is a co-ferment of Syrah and Viognier. One of the primary reasons for using Viognier with Syrah is that Viognier enhances the color of the Syrah. The Viognier does not dilute the Syrah, it complements the wine in both color and flavor. Viognier has a beautiful floral aroma along with tangerine and peach notes that enhances the aroma of Syrah that can include plum, cigar box, black pepper, smoked meat and bacon fat. On the mouthfeel, Viognier provides the Syrah with a silkier mouthfeel.
This wine presents an immense richness, intensity and full-bodied charm with a noteworthy presentation of violets, blackberry, star anise, coffee and dark chocolate just as does the Syrah that comes from the east side of the block. The west side of the block exhibits more smoked meat characteristics than the east side of the block.
This full-bodied Syrah offers dense jammy blueberry flavors and hints of clove, vanilla and cocoa. Noriega Vineyards are located in the beautiful Sierra Foothills at 2400’ where the rolling hills circulate soft breezes that embrace the vineyard from early morning through the evening.
This wine has an astonishing deep inky purple color with a big bouquet of dark fruit. It exhibits intense flavors of blackberries, smoked meat, and black pepper on the palate. The deep tannins coat the palate and provide a balanced structure to give the wine an intense finish.
